SCHEDULE / INSTRUCTOR CHANGES
FOURTH OF JULY SCHEDULE - All classes on Sunday, July 4, are cancelled. The rest of the Holiday weekend's schedule (Saturday & Monday) will remain the same.
ADDITIONS TO SCHEDULE: - WOW! - Check this out:
Each Friday: 5:40-7:40 A Practice led by Jen Hecht. (What is a practice? An opportunity to practice for two hours with the instructor. She will call the poses, give some instruction and guidance, but mostly everyone does yoga together! Fun way to expand and grow your yoga, plus build community. Cost? by donation (What does that mean? You pay what you feel this experience is worth to you. To coin a phrase from The Shop in Park City: if you live in a big house, suggested donation is $15-20; if you live in a small house, give what you can.)
Added YogaHour Classes More YogaHour(s) !!! Monday and Wednesday, 4-5 p.m., taught by Jen Hecht. One hour of yoga, just $4 (cash, check or credit card; but, not your pass -- that just doesn't make sense). That means you can do yoga every weekday at The Yoga Center at 4 pm (4:15 on Fridays) for $4. Each of these classes is taught by an instructor who is Anusara-Inspired or moving in that direction.
Instructor Change on Tuesdays, 9:30 am Leslie Salmon will teach the morning class on Tuesdays. Note the class will begin at 10 a.m. beginning July 13, instead of 9:30.
Instructor Change on Thursdays, 5:40 pm Jen Hecht will take over the Thursday, Level 1 class. The class will become a Level 1-2, making it a bit more energetic but still having the Anusara-Inspired influence to it.
One Class Cancellation to Note Michael is going to discontinue his Thursday noon 'Yoga for Strength & Toning', effective immediately. You can still enjoy Michael's teaching on Mondays, 5:40 p.m., at The Yoga Center. Come check it out!
BUT, if you like Noon Classes Kim Achelis Hoggan will begin a noon class on Fridays in July - watch the website for start date.
Restorative Yoga in July July 8, 7:30 pm, with Heidi O'Donoghue. A chance to unwind, relax and restore your body and your mind.
AND DON'T FORGET, ALL THE OTHER GREAT CLASSES WE HAVE. THIS MONTH, WE FEATURE "BLISS YOGA". According to Isabelle, her class is one hour and fifteen minutes of yoga asana practice while staying on the mat. We hold poses for a long enough time to produce muscular releases, limbering of the skeletal systems, and compression of the organs. It is a sure way to increase flexibility and reduce physical and emotional discomforts. Leslie's input: Sounds like a 'blissful' way to spend any Wednesday evening. Isabelle also teaches 'complete' yoga on Sunday afternoons, at 4 pm.
JUNE NOTES
Well, do we think summer has arrived? I think we missed Spring, but we needed the moisture -- spoken like a true yoga teacher, always looking for the good. But, why not? Why always expect the worst? Why always expect that someone is going to disappoint us? Why always predict calamity? I'm not suggesting that we walk around with blinders on to the dumb things that happen in our lives, but I do have to wonder about the times when people don't even allow the good things a chance to happen before allowing negativity to set in. I'm on my soapbox, don't knock me off! I'm not wearing blinders, I usually have a fallback plan in place, but looking first for the good. And, if it doesn't happen; if I get disappointed -- I plan to take a couple breaths before I react. To quote a dear friend -- "just sayin".
May you have a great July holiday and BE SAFE!
Namaste'
