Leslie Salmon, Anusara-Inspired, E-RYT 500
Leslie began her yoga practice in earnest right here at The Yoga Center in 1999. In 2003, she purchased the Center and began her journey as a yoga instructor and studio owner/manager.
In this role, Leslie works to make yoga accessible to as many people as possible. She is encouraged and excited that traditional healthcare professionals are referring students to yoga in increasing numbers, recognizing the therapeutic side of yoga holds great promise for many.
Leslie works towards her goal by making The Yoga Center a welcoming environment to all level of student, and by developing and improving her own teaching skills. She has devoted hundreds of hours to study with John Friend (founder of Anusara® Yoga), and many more have been spent in workshops and trainings with Certified Anusara® Instructors Sundari (Joanne Lucey), Martin & Jordan Kirk, Christina Sell, Desiree Rumbaugh, Noah Maze. She also loves to experience yoga in local public classes and through the various workshops offered in
Utah and surrounding states.
A 500-hour E-RYT (Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher), Leslie is recognized as an "Anusara-Inspired™" yoga instructor by John Friend and Anusara® Yoga (for more information about Anusara® Yoga, see the website www.anusara.com). Leslie is also a member of the International Association of Yoga Therapists (IAYT) - www.iayt.org.
2010 promises to be a BIG year for Leslie, as she moves along the path to Certification as an Anusara Yoga Instructor
In her spare time, Leslie enjoys the company of her husband, children, grandchildren, dogs, cats, and birds. She loves to ski (still) and flyfish, and is a walking endorsement for yoga for golfers.
Leslie's door is always open to questions or discussion about yoga. If you think yoga may enhance your life, but need to talk about it a bit before attending a class, please call or e-mail.
