Jacqueline Morasco, MS, RYT-500, CYT
Jacqueline started practicing hatha yoga back East in the late 80’s after a series of events changed the direction of her life. She was initially influenced through books by BKS Iyengar and Richard Hittleman and has studied with Charlotte Bell, Pujari, Judith Lasater, Menaka Desikachar and Jenny Otto, among others. On a recent trip to India, she was able to study with TKV Desikachar’s senior teachers deepening her understanding of Krishnamacharya’s teachings in therapeutic yoga practices, chanting and meditation. This experience added new wonder and excitement to her practice, as well as showing her how little she really knew. Jacqueline has been teaching yoga for 10 years to children and adults of all abilities.
Also a licensed health and science teacher for 20 years, her time is split between teaching yoga, science and health, raising two very active boys and living life. She teaches at Bryant Middle School, Westminster College, and is excited to share in the community at the Yoga Center . She loves helping people create union through breath, movement, sound and mind. One of her life’s goals is to inspire harmony in the world through sound. She is a member of the International Association of Yoga Therapists, Yoga Alliance and a Certified Yoga Therapist.
