Awakened Relationships: A Practical and Heart Centered Guide to the challenge of Human Relating

The arena of close relationships is often where we struggle most in life. We need a new paradigm, a value set that brings clarity to the ways we relate, coupled with modes of compassionate communication that help us understand each other. This groundbreaking workshop draws on key teachings of the original Tantrik tradition that provide the clarity so needed in this area of life. Previous participants in this workshop describe it as “veils of confusion being torn away” and have felt empowered and inspired to relate to others from the place of their deepest truth.

Saturday Oct 22 3-6pm
A Wellspring of Power: The Practice of Yoga in Trantric Mode

Empower your practice of Yoga by exploring what practice in a Tantric mode means, and why it accelerates the effectiveness of yoga on all levels. Explore the influence of Tantrism on modern yoga, and the historical connection between the two. Discover what the term “yoga” really means in the original Sanskrit texts, and how Tantrism refined the nature of yoga for the modern age. Explore practice on a subtle level, analyzing the challenges that arise in our practice and how they can be overcome.

Sunday Oct 23 9am-12pm
The Secret Science of Sound and Mantra: How Mantra Practice can invite Health, Prosperity, and Happiness

American yogis are increasingly awake to the joy and power of kīrtan, or singing Sanskrit mantras. In this new workshop, you will learn from a Sanskrit scholar about the six kinds of mantras and how to use them to cleanse the mind, open the subtle centers, and create greater ease and flow in your life. Mantra practice has a unique power to increase the “juiciness” of life! Since it can only be learned from a qualified scholar-practitioner, join us for this rare offering.

Take your teaching to another level- Learn the art, science and heart of teaching prenatal yoga.

What graduates are saying about Utah Prenatal Yoga Teacher Training Experience:

I would 100% recommend the Utah Prenatal Yoga Teacher Training. I’ve been teaching yoga for 10+ years and walked away with so much understanding and insight into the world of prenatal yoga. Practicing yoga is invaluable during pregnancy and I feel so lucky to be able to share what I have learned with my yoga students!
Gygi K, Provo, UT

Utah Prenatal Yoga teacher training was a life changing experience for me. It took an in-depth look into pregnancy and the birth experience and prepares any teacher–new or experienced, young or old, mother or not– to safely take moms-to-be into their own body, exploring poses and breath, during pregnancy. Be prepared to dive into your own birth experiences and to celebrate and embody the goddess within all women.
Ashley D.  Salt Lake City, UT.

Common Questions about the Teacher Training

Do I need to be a registered yoga teacher to take the course?
It is not required that you are a RYT in order to participate in the training. While it is helpful to have a foundation of yoga basics, it can also be just as helpful to start fresh with the prenatal content. Teaching a prenatal yoga class is different than teaching a traditional yoga class and in some cases there is an element of relearning/unlearning aspects of yoga instruction in order to teach a prenatal class. Either way, a passion for teaching expecting women is the only requirement. Please be aware that in order to apply with the Yoga Alliance for the RPYT status it is required that you first hold the RYT designation. If you have questions or concerns about how that works please contact Alicia at UtahPrenatalYoga@gmail.com

I have a new baby/nursing baby/infant, can I have my baby with me during the training?
Yes! We are here to support motherhood! If you have an infant or nursing baby we will make it as easy as possible for you to meet each others needs while participating in the training. You are invited to make arrangements for a support person to assist you while you are in training sessions and babes are welcome to join us when they need to eat (or be cuddled).I am a birth worker, is this training appropriate for me?
Birth workers are welcome to attend the training! A clear intention about how the information and training will be applied to your current practice is suggested. This training will supply you with a fun and effective set of skills that you can share with your clients- a strong understanding of optimal alignment, breath exercises and affirmations from the yoga traditions.

I have a schedule conflict and need to miss one of the days, is that possible?
For most people, the commitment to a teacher training means that there will be schedule conflicts that have to be worked through. Because the training follows the Yoga Alliance contact hour requirements it is suggested that you are present for all of the training days/times. If there is an exceptional circumstance arrangements can be made for you to make up the contact hours.
